It starts with staff, all staff are trained in the use of defibrillators to ensure we are prepared for emergencies. Additionally, they are certified in pediatric first aid and CPR, equipping them to respond effectively to a variety of situations. These measures are part of our commitment to safety and well-being.
Anyone picking up a child must present a valid ID before being allowed to take the child from the center. If the designated individual is not listed on the enrollment form and the enrolling parent cannot be contacted, the child will not be released to that person. This policy ensures the safety and well-being of every child in our care.
Every child has their own assigned crib or cot. No one sleeps on the floor. We wash sheets daily to insure each child has a clean area for sleeping.
As policy, staff are constanly washing their hands. Teaching children good hand hygiene sets up lifelong habits to stop the spread of infection. Children are taught the proper way to wash hands and to cover mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing
Staff are encouraged to engage with families upon arrival by asking about the child's well-being. Questions such as 'How was their night?' and 'Is there anything we should be aware of or watch out for during your child's day?' help foster open communication and ensure that we provide the best care tailored to each child's needs.
Sick Children are not allowed to attend and are isolated. Parents are notified to pick them us as soon as there is a concern.
Building safety checks are done daily to insure locks are working and that the building is kid proof. Our doors are locked and only opened for authorized personnel.
